24 Weeks Pregnant!

Today I am 24 weeks pregnant with baby number two! This pregnancy has been nothing like Evan's was. It has been much more stressful and I have been quite sick up until a couple of weeks ago.

This pregnancy has been stressful because my body didn't seem like it was handling being pregnant very well, though the baby was always fine and healthy. My midwife was worried that I would go into preterm labor, and my goal was to make it to at least 24 weeks, to have any hope that this baby would make outside, in this world.

I am so excited to be 24 weeks, it seems like such an accomplishment. Though everything looks great now and I should make it to full term, it makes every day a blessing. I can feel the baby move a lot more these days and that brings me a lot of comfort.

I had more ultrasounds then I ever did with Evan, five in fact. Here are pictures from three of the ultrasounds in the order that they were taken.

The first one was my first ultrasound at 8 weeks pregnant. If you look at it, the head is facing down and the little body and legs are facing up.

The next one was taken at 12 weeks pregnant. This one you can clearly see that its a little baby, It has  gown quite a bit in the last 4 weeks.

The last picture was taken at my latest ultrasound at 20 weeks pregnant. The baby was too big to fit in one picture. It continues to grow a lot!

Just like I did with Evan's pregnancy, I have been taking weekly pictures of the progress my belly has made. I didn't start right at the beginning as I always forgot, or was too sick to care about looking nice for a picture.

The first picture I took was at 17 weeks pregnant.

The second picture was taken this morning at 24 weeks pregnant.

It is amazing to me to see both of these pictures and to see how big my belly is getting. According to my pregnancy phone app, the baby is the length of a Ear of Corn and is 8.6 inches and is 1.5 lbs.
