Evan has taken over my rocking chair for the time being. He says it is his favourite place to sit. He goes to sit in it every time he watches TV or to read books or to just sit. He's going to have some competition once the baby arrives, but until then, its his favourite spot.
He also loves his ukulele, and though he doesn't really know how to play it, he often picks it up and starts to strum the strings. Yesterday, he was really concentrating on actually playing it. It was a very sweet little moment.

25 Weeks!
Today I am 25 weeks pregnant!
This week all I want to eat is sweets. Chocolate, candies, anything bad for me. I am trying to make green smoothies that have vegetables and fruit in them to balance what I am eating. I have also had a lot of headaches and the body aches are starting to happen. This baby is definitely growing a lot and is constantly moving around.

Aquarium!
Yesterday, Evan, Grammy and Papa went to the aquarium! Evan loves exploring all the different things that are at the aquarium. He loves animals and loves learning all about them!
A turtle, a shark, and a sloth!

A day of many things
We then went to a school park where Evan got to ride his bike and play in the playground.
After the park, we went to get an ice cream treat. It was delicious!
The last thing today was Evan finally got his hair cut by Ricardo. It looks so much better!
It was a great Saturday!

A Park Day!
Yesterday was a beautiful day outside so we thought we would take advantage of it and go to the park! I finally was able to get some nice pictures of Evan, not the typical silly pictures.
And of course, we needed to stop by Starbucks and get a treat!

24 Weeks Pregnant!
Today I am 24 weeks pregnant with baby number two! This pregnancy has been nothing like Evan's was. It has been much more stressful and I have been quite sick up until a couple of weeks ago.
This pregnancy has been stressful because my body didn't seem like it was handling being pregnant very well, though the baby was always fine and healthy. My midwife was worried that I would go into preterm labor, and my goal was to make it to at least 24 weeks, to have any hope that this baby would make outside, in this world.
I am so excited to be 24 weeks, it seems like such an accomplishment. Though everything looks great now and I should make it to full term, it makes every day a blessing. I can feel the baby move a lot more these days and that brings me a lot of comfort.
I had more ultrasounds then I ever did with Evan, five in fact. Here are pictures from three of the ultrasounds in the order that they were taken.
The first one was my first ultrasound at 8 weeks pregnant. If you look at it, the head is facing down and the little body and legs are facing up.

The first one was my first ultrasound at 8 weeks pregnant. If you look at it, the head is facing down and the little body and legs are facing up.
The next one was taken at 12 weeks pregnant. This one you can clearly see that its a little baby, It has gown quite a bit in the last 4 weeks.
The last picture was taken at my latest ultrasound at 20 weeks pregnant. The baby was too big to fit in one picture. It continues to grow a lot!
Just like I did with Evan's pregnancy, I have been taking weekly pictures of the progress my belly has made. I didn't start right at the beginning as I always forgot, or was too sick to care about looking nice for a picture.
The first picture I took was at 17 weeks pregnant.
The second picture was taken this morning at 24 weeks pregnant.
It is amazing to me to see both of these pictures and to see how big my belly is getting. According to my pregnancy phone app, the baby is the length of a Ear of Corn and is 8.6 inches and is 1.5 lbs.

Fall!
We love fall and everything that comes with it. I like it so I can wear nice warm sweaters, leggings and boots. Evan loves it for the changing colours of the leaves and watching them fall to the ground.
Whenever we walk anywhere, he tries to pick up the "special leaves" as he calls it. In preschool, he is learning all about the seasons and he knows after fall is winter. This (hopefully) means snow! He can't wait to make snow angels and snowmen and to throw snow up in the air. Hopefully his wishes come true, but for now, we enjoy the changing colours of all the tress.

First Blog Post
Hello!
Welcome to the first blog post of this blog. I have been meaning to start a blog for a while now and never had the energy to do it. I figured I needed to start it soon if I wanted to have posts up before the next baby was born.
This post is going to be the first part of October. There has been a lot that has gone on in October and will continue to go on, so I thought this was a good place to start.
The first event of October was Evans first school field trip. They went to Iona Beach Park where they were able to explore their surroundings. They found a beaver swimming in the water, a lot of plants and insects, and got to play in lots of sand. Evan really enjoyed this field trip.

Evan is also in swimming lessons this fall. He goes twice a week and has done very well in them. He always looks forward to going and is sad when they finish.
It is now officially fall here and we have loved going to the park and playing in the leaves
Evan decided he needed a picture with a mannequin
On Thanksgiving day, we went to Lynn Canyon in the pouring rain to go for a hike. We walked for 2 1/2 hours, which, at 5 1/2 months pregnant, was a long walk. Even though it was a long walk, it was nice to go out and explore nature and we all enjoyed being outside.
Ricardo had this whole week off, so we took advantage of it and went to the pumpkin patch. We had gone to the same one last year and Evan really enjoyed going. They have a farm where you can touch animals and look at some giant cows and pigs. They also have a nice little pumpkin patch. Next year there will be four of us going! Its crazy to think about, but we are enjoying being a family of three for the time being.
The last thing i will post about today is our trip to Science world on Saturday. Evan loved exploring all the different places in Science World. He particularly liked being picked as a volunteer in one of their shows.
