The day before school

Today is the last day of summer vacation and part of me can't believe that summer is over, but the other part of me is excited to have a routine again and for the fall weather to come! 

During the day, the two older kids went to Mama Reina's house to spend some time with her. Elisa stayed back and watched tv with us.

Lily is looking so old these days. 

Because it's the last day of summer holidays, we took the kids to get ice cream.

This little girl has quite bad stomach pains which seem to happen between 4:00-7:00am and at night in particular. I finally got her to go to sleep after a couple hours of crying. 

The kids got ready for church and all looked so cute. 

After dinner, Evan helped Ricardo make strawberry shortcake.

Evening walk

Since it has been so hot during the day, we decided it would be better to do something in the evening when it isn't as hot. It was still 31 degrees outside at 5:00 so we went to minoru park where there is a lot of tree coverage. We walked around for a while so the kids could run around. It felt so nice being outside and as I am continuing to get stronger after giving birth, I can walk for longer without getting tired. 

Lily LOVES ducks, she was so excited to see some today. 

Going to the fair!

Today, Ricardo took the kids to the fair. They walked around, saw all the farm animals, watched pig races, played some games and went on a bungee jumping, jumping area. 

While the two older kids went to the fair, Elisa and I had a relaxing day at home.
